Hello HRSSC Families,
A few quick updates to share here and IN PERSON at the arena this evening. Our HRSSC Newsletter will return next week.
Thanks to everyone for their patience and good cheer as we sorted through all of the safety gear orders and invoices. A few details to complete, but for the most part our skaters are looking pretty sharp, comfortable, and safe! with all of their gear.
THANK YOU to all of our volunteers who have answered the call to help with collecting more mats from our storage container, along with joining Team Mats with set up and take down at practice. Every little bit helps!
TONIGHT during your skater’s practice time, please join Paula in the main lobby to the Smith Arena (by the blue exit doors) to learn more about:
- the Citadel Cup
- HRSSC plans for the season
- volunteer opportunities
- the local speed skating event schedule
We will meet together while the FUNDAMENTALS group is on the ice, and again with the shared practice time between SHORT BLADES and LONG BLADES at 7:50pm.Advanced/High Performance plans will be confirmed soon.
GOOD LUCK and SAFE TRAVELS to our skaters and families heading to the Atlantic Cup in PEI this weekend. HRSSC will be well represented by a group of 13 skaters including members of our Short Blades, Long Blades, and Advanced groups. Extra THANKS to Coach Grace for joining the team and supporting our skaters this weekend.
