November 11th update

Welcome to another week of speed skating! It was great to see so many of our skaters, families and friends in Charlottetown this past weekend.  There were lots of smiles, personal bests and lots of learning opportunities as well.  Sport offers a wonderful opportunity for personal development both inside and outside the sporting realm.

A/ Practices will be at the usual times at the usual location this week.  See the bottom of this email for reminders if necessary

C/ TOQUES!Anne is looking to put together an order of Toques designed by coach Luke to arrive in time for the holiday season.  I am ordering 2.  Please read her note below.  Hi all.  Are you interested in buying these toques?  The cost is $20 each if we buy 24 or more. I need to order them by Monday November 18th if we want them before Christmas, as it takes 3-4 weeks to come in.  Can you please let me know if you want to buy one by Sunday, Nov 17th.
I also plan to order hoodies in the next couple of weeks. I am waiting for pricing on them, although it sounds like it will be around $30 each if we buy 24 or more. More to follow on this.  Anne902-440-4097 (cell) ajubis@hotmail.com

D/ Blade maintenance is of utmost importance.  Grace Sullivan and Emily Doucette have indicated to me that they will sharpen your skaters skate blades for a small fee of 10 dollars. Feel free to reach out to them or to other experienced skaters or parents.
We have lots more information to come including a master schedule of sorts of upcoming meets as well as Long track speed skating information.
Thanks all.  See you at the rink!Rob
