Welcome to another week of speed skating!There are a number of items in this email including information on the Atlantic Long Track Championships, Sunday racing and practice times.
A reminder that the Atlantic Long Track Championships are less than 2 weeks away and are being hosted by Speed Skate Nova Scotia. The registration deadline is January 18th You can register by following this link
Also, we are in need of people to help with refreshments for officials, set up crew, runners, assistant officials (referee, track stewards, timers, line judges), awards, etc.

This Sunday morning, January 19, 2020 from 0900 to 1030 has been set aside for in the schedule for informal racing on the oval. Racing will commence as soon as the track markers can be laid down (approximately 0907am)
The deadline for registering for racing is 2pm on Saturday Jan. 18th, 2020 If you are interested in participating as a racer or a volunteer official please complete the doodle poll link below:

Short Track weekly practice times at St. Margaret’s Centre remain the same:Tuesdays
Group C – Learn to Speed Skate 7:00 to 8:00pm
Group B – Recreational and Intermediate 7:00 to 8:30pm
Group A – Advanced and High Performance 7:45 to 9:15pm
Thursdays
Group C – Learn to Speed Skate 7:30 to 8:15pm
Group B – Recreational and Intermediate 7:30 to 8:30pm
Group A – Advanced and High Performance 8:15 to 9:15pm
Long Track weekly practice times at the Oval:
Wednesday and Fridays 5:00 to 6:00pm – Groups A/B/C
*Dryland for Group A/B skaters at 4:30pm
Saturdays
9:00 to 10:00am Group C
8:30 to 10:00am Group A/B
Dryland for Group A/B skaters at 8:00am
