SPEEDY KIDS OVAL MELTDOWNHello clubs and provincial associations, Registration is now open for Oval Meltdown 2023: go to IceReg to register at Oval Meltdown 2023 | IceReg and to the Speedy Kids website for up-to-date information at Oval Meltdown 2023 | Speedy Kids Oval Program.   Registration closes on Saturday 25 February at 6:00pm
The Oval Meltdown was displaced from our regular mid-late February weekend by the Canada Winter Games, so fingers crossed that the weather holds up on March 4th-5th. Unfortunately, the change in dates also brought us into conflict with the Dartmouth Crossing Sprints event on March 4th. We are hopeful that the proximity of the DC Sprints and Oval Meltdown will encourage participants at the Sprints on the Saturday to give long track racing a try on the Sunday.
Sunday’s events (7am-1pm) include OS Sprint and ISU MS racing for experienced skaters ages 13 & older, followed by All Ages Mass Start All Points racing for all others. Saturday’s events (8-11:30am) will be more informal and low-key and include a one-hour skate, ladder racing with repeated 100m heats, and games. Please forward this announcement to your members, add to your calendars, and publicize on your websites and social media.Any questions or difficulties with registration, please let us know.Lisa Gannett and Lance Robinson, meet coordinators  ________________________________The Speedy Kids Oval Program Society
